Lil Wayne's record execs predict his album will sell between 850,000 and 950,000 by the end of the week... ??
Lil' Wayne's Tha Carter III came out this Tuesday morning, so exact figures have yet been determined, but execs at his music label estimate the album will sell between 850,000 and 950,000 by the end of its first week. Pat Monaco, exec VP of sales for the Universal Motown Republic Group, says that, "The accounts were bullish by 10 in the morning. The sales the first few hours were exceeding the rate that the Kanye album sold a year ago. Wayne was one of these records that, because it was so highly anticipated, with the leaks and everything, it caused more people to go out at 8 in the morning to buy the CD. And with the CD such a long time in the making, Monaco adds that finalizing the album was "like putting a traditional setup and street date on a guy that was just nontraditional. It changed dates, changed titles, changed songs, changed the people that were working on it. But sonically, the record bears out. *** DO YOU BUY OR SELL THIS??? *** SOURCE: http://perezhilton.com/2008-06-11-22448 yeah the source is perez hilton but he only passes on the information... he didn't come up with this.... I co-sign with Escobar.... Wayne will just spend the money on Lollipops and Cough Syrup haha

Buy. Wayne has the one of the strongest following in history. No lie, I told this girl I had The Carter 3 on June 3rd when it was leaked on the net(I am a known bootlegger in my town), and she told me "So, Ill just buy it when it comes out the 10th." That's dedication.

i dont care about sales but its a shame if anyone actully spends there money on this hot piece of diarrhea to who ever's interested in listening to this, DON'T BUY THIS ALBUM. Download Tha Carter III or get bootleg copies of the sh^t. Lil Wayne doesn't deserve the support or the sales. He's trying to extort money from us. That's how much he really cares about his fans.

Absolutely sell. I will never quite understand why everyone buys his garbage. However, as much as I dislike him I realize there is nothing I can do to change his fan bases' opinions to match mine, and personally, I think he is extremely lyrically overrated. "Poetically challenged", if I may.
